Screen Recording a Lesson
iMac Desktop (via QuickTime Player app)Open the materials you plan to use in your class
Open QuickTime Player (blue and black “Q” icon) - Click Finder -> Applications and search for "QuickTime"
Click File -> New Screen Recording
Click the down arrow to the right of the red dot and choose “Internal Microphone” (If prompted to access the microphone, click OK)
Click the red record button
Single click anywhere on the screen to record (dot icon appears top bar)
Speak your lesson as normal speaking clearly and near the iMac
When finished, click the dot icon in top menu bar and it will open the video to play
Click File -> Export As -> 720p... in the export as field name your video and click Save
iPad (iOS 12 or 13 required)Open the materials you plan to use in your class
Go to Settings -> Control Center -> Customize Controls and Tap the green plus next to “Screen Recording”
Swipe from top right down to expose the Control Center
Press and hold the Screen Recording icon (dot in circle) and make sure the microphone icon is red (touch to turn it on)
Tap “Start Recording” - now recording
Speak your lesson as normal speaking clearly and near the iPad
When finished tap the same screen recording icon
Wait a moment for the video to show up in the Photos App
The video is saved in your All Photos
